Daddy is away...

Cory left for New Orleans at the end of August. He is scheduled to return Sept. 24th. But I have learned long ago not to get my hopes up on any specific dates.
Brock and Josie are handling him being away best they can. Josie usually atleast once a day runs to the door screaming "Daddy's home." Brock is looking forward to a promised new gun from daddy when he gets back.
I haven't been good about blogging, well honestly I have been horrible. I haven't posted anything since Josie was born and she is 2 now. But I decided to seize the moment and just do it.
We are expecting baby number 3 Dec. 18th. The ultrasound revealed it is a boy. Their is an excitement in all of us, but a fear lingering as well. How can we handle being a family of 5? I am certain God is preparing us now, and He will carry is through.
We have had some excitement in our home recently. Brock asked Jesus into his hear last Saturday and I couldn't be more excited. He very sweetly started asking me questions as we lay in bed. He decided to pray the prayer of salvation! The next morning on the way to church I see him in the rearview mirror praying. Very curious, I ask what is he doing. The reply brought tears to my eyes as well as laughter. "Mom, I am talking to Jesus, I want to make sure He likes it in my heart and wants to stay forever."
Josie has grown like a weed in the last 6 months. She is talking all the time and Cory and I just sit back and laugh. When she is talking to babies she turns on this deep voice and talks really slow. Chapstick is her latest obsession. She has multiple sticks all over the house and in several purses. She is such a girly girl. Toe nails are always painted and she is asking for her ears pierced.
Never did I imagine my heart could love 3 people so much. Cory has been a wonderful husband and mate for 7 years. He is a fantastic father and provider. We love him so much and miss him terribly when he is gone. Love you babe!!

Our Fun Day at the Park

We went to the park yesterday to get some shots of Brock in his cute sweater. Hehad such a good time playing with sticks and poking the water. Cory had the day off so he is actually the photographer for most of these pictures. We have been doing really well. Cory passed another qualifcation so his name is on the school list now. That means another 9-12 months here. I had a docotor's appointment yesterday. Everything looks good. I am already ready to be done being pregnant. February can't get here soon enough.

Monday Blahs!

Well, it is Monday and the start of a new week. Cory is out on the boat for a few days so Brock and I are at my mom's. She spoils us rotter so I really can't complain. Brock is such a sweet heart but such a hand full. I wonder where he gets all his energy. I just pray that I am teaching him all that I need to. He seems interested at first when I try to teach him something new, but he has the attention span of about 30 seconds. But you know what...sometimes those are the best 30 seconds of my day.

Playing in the Hay Maze at the Zoo.

Brock's face after playing in the hay!! That is all mud!

Our Trip to the Detroit Zoo

We made it to the zoo today and we love it. The Detroit Zoo is a lot nicer than the Toledo Zoo. The exhibits are so nice to see and the animals seem so close. Brock loved the Tigers. They were prowling around and he kept calling them "kitty." Please never let my child be lost in the jungle. He would never survive.

All in all it was a great day.

Our First Post

It is Saturday morning and Cory and I are trying to tackle this blogging idea. We have been at it for about an hour. We created a blog on another site but got so frustrated we scratched it and started here.

Our agenda today...hang out. Maybe hit the Detroit Zoo.

This is a picture of us in Colorado this summer.
